All counselors are licensed pastoral or Christian counselors through the National Christian Counselors Association and are certified “temperament counselors.” We have extensive training in counseling and ministering to the emotional and spiritual wounds caused by broken relationships, fear, abuse, rejection, loss, and life circumstances.

The main goal

The main goal of Christian counseling, like the goal of Christian living, is to enable clients to move toward greater emotional and spiritual health by becoming more like Jesus Christ. As Christian counselors, we are not limited to psychological techniques or our own human efforts and wisdom. We believe that God is the ultimate authority in counseling and He gives us the resources to change. We believe that counseling without the “Jesus Factor” is about as effective as applying a Band-Aid over a bacteria-infested wound. We believe that counseling should involve praying about the client’s difficulties and looking to the authority of the Bible for guidance.

In this way, we seek to encourage clients to build a dependency on God. The client can find forgiveness for the past, strength and comfort for the present, and hope for the future by trusting the Lord to daily meet needs and heal emotional wounds. We seek to reflect the character of Jesus Christ. While we do not try to force religion on our clients, we unapologetically urge them to develop a relationship with the only true Healer of our mind, body, and emotions, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 43:18 – 19 reads:

Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Through the ministry of Christian counseling, and applying biblical truth, a way is made in the wilderness, rivers spring forth in the desert places in people’s lives, and the heart is restored.
