Tonna Marcyes
Tonna Marcyes is a proud “native” Austinite and can boast of knowing Austin and surrounding areas like the back of her hand! Tonna graduated with honors from St. Edward’s University with a Bachelors of Art in Public Administration and a minor in Health Care Administration. Tonna has been a licensed nurse for “a long, long time”, an Emergency Medical Technician for Travis County, the Star of Texas Livestock and Rodeo, and the State of Texas Special Olympics.
She is a proud of her 23 years of service to the State of Texas as a state employee. Primary roles as a state employee included managing training programs, obtaining and managing grants, OSHA compliance, public speaking and building cohesive relationships between the community and state health and safety regulations.
Tonna and her husband Steve both retired from the State of Texas several years ago. Currently, Tonna and Steve are also business partners as Realtors® with Realty Texas, LLC. Their three grown children are successful entrepreneurs in Austin, and they are blessed with nine grandkids and one great-grandchild.
Tonna and Steve are active members in their church and have facilitated and hosted several small Bible study home groups. Tonna participates in the city of Austin Unceasing Prayer Vigil, praying for our Nation, City, Communities, and area Churches.
Tonna has been a volunteer with numerous organizations over the years. Tonna serves as a Greeter, Medical Assistant Team at her Church. One of Tonna’s most memorable volunteer ministry roles was serving as a nurse on medical mission trips to Reynosa and Piedras Negras Mexico.
Tonna believes in the mission and vision of Head to Heart Restoration Ministry. She has experienced the healing that comes from counseling that is focused on Jesus Christ.
