Are you worried that because life has changed far beyond what you expected, everything looks bleak and will stay that way?
Jesus’s disciples probably felt the same way after Calvary. Their future held so much promise and then it was all viciously ripped away. If this is how you feel, please know we care and can help.

Life’s Not Fair
Some days it doesn’t seem fair that other people’s lives are so easy while yours is so hard.
Thankfully, while life’s problems might be incredibly difficult today, life can get easier. It did for the disciples, and they processed their loss with their fellow believers and went on to change the world. The same can happen for you in a few in-person or online sessions with a Christian counselor, who can guide you to a place of hope.
Each step forward is another step away from an unpleasant past, and the possibilities are many. Tomorrow can really be better than yesterday. You might have to try new ways of processing your emotions and experiences, but you can move toward a better life.
What’s fair is treating yourself the way Christ would. It’s about receiving and applying the compassion, grace, unending love, and ongoing encouragement of God to your heart and your circumstances.
Finding Strength in Hard Times
While a Christian would never pray for hard times, they always seem to show us how much strength we have. It’s not true that God sends us painful things to make us stronger (see John 10:10), but he will always walk with us through those hard times and show us how present and nurturing he is.
With God, we have a rowing mate in any storm, and we can rest in his peace. With him, we can rise time and time again, dust off the ashes, and continue forward, even if our legs feel like those of a newborn calf.
By acknowledging your pain and processing it in a safe space, you can break free of its hold on your emotions and look after your mental health. You can tap into God’s strength, lean into your faith in him, and trust that a licensed pastoral counselor can guide you through the landmines. Sharing your pain with a professional can ease your burdens, and we will support you through your therapeutic process and celebrate your victories.
Finding Your Center during Life Changes
Life changes can be unnerving. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a career change, or a shift in personal relationships, these seasons can leave us scrabbling to find solid ground. It is in these difficult moments when we understand what it really means to have Jesus as our center.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“ (John 14:27)
Though uncomfortable, change is not an enemy and can even be the key to a better future. Looking at it from this perspective with the help of a counselor, you can use change as an opportunity to grow into a newer, more healed, and wiser version of yourself and feel ready to flow into a new season of life.
Nurturing Yourself for a Brighter Future
Nurturing hope might mean you’d like some accountability, especially when it’s so easy to get distracted and forget to move forward. It’s all too easy to lose sight of your dreams when you’re focused on survival, but it’s like watering a plant every day — you need to care for your mind to keep moving forward.
Each person is unique in how they feed their positivity. Your hobbies, your passions, your quiet moments of reflection—they all play a role. Some people might find that volunteer work renews their sense of purpose. For others, creating art, writing, or dancing might remind them of the creative beauty they still have inside. Others might spend time with children to remember how to look at life through faith-tinted glasses.
So many life events can cause your thoughts to spiral downward — a broken marriage, stress with family members, being a caregiver — and so much can set you on edge. Receiving Christian therapy from a professional who shares your beliefs can be life-changing and help you find your mental footing again.
Christian Counseling Can Help
Starting over is very hard to do alone, and even if you’ve done everything by yourself up till now, doing it with a Christian counselor to walk alongside you can be so much more healing and fulfilling.
Together with your counselor, you can see more clearly where you stand and form a plan on how to move forward into better times.
Having hope involves trust, and we believe you’ll be able to do that with one of our licensed pastoral counselors. We’ll help you break free of past hurts and step into possibilities. We’ll walk you through steps of healing to where you feel more hopeful, more capable, more peaceful.
