Karen Withers

Karen Withers was born in Corpus Christi and grew up in Round Rock Texas. After finishing high school, Karen attended and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s of Science. Four years later, she returned to the University of Texas and completed a Texas Teaching Credential in Elementary and Middle School Education. Karen married her high school sweetheart and has two sons.

Karen’s experience begins in retail management, including working as a District Sales Manager but her love was always teaching and coaching. Her skills of leadership, teamwork, teaching, organization, communication, and mentoring helped many she lead to reach their goals. As an elementary school teacher and children’s leader for Bible Study Fellowship, she has developed strong skills with children leading them to reach their potential and developing a personal and vibrant relationship with their Savior.

Karen has worked consistently in her children’s schools as a member and/or board member of each of their PTA or PTSA organizations. She has taken on more responsibility in the district sitting on committees such as Site Base Representative for each school, Boundary Committee, and most recently as Chair for the Mental Health sub-committee for the district’s Student Health Advisory Council.

Karen helped start, lead, and consistently prays with the Moms In Prayer groups who have prayed for their children’s schools week after week.  Several years ago, she answered the call to lead many mothers in the same ministry as the Williamson County Area Coordinator of Moms In Prayer International.

Karen discovered Head to Heart Ministries and Temperament Therapy while seeking counseling after the death of her mother and other life difficulties. She has personally seen the Holy Spirit through her counselor bring light and life to the dark hurt parts of her heart bringing healing, restoration, and beautiful hope and a joyous outlook. Karen wanted to learn more and more about how this transformation begins and works to completion, and so she began studying Temperament Therapy working towards a Master’s in Pastoral Counseling. It is her deepest desire to help as many as God would bring to find this same healing and new life opening up a positive and purposeful future.

Karen is a National Christian Counselors Association Licensed Pastoral Counselor. Karen has joined Head to Heart Ministries and hopes to help as many as possible find the restoration and passionate purpose God has written on each of their lives as He has done with Karen’s life.
